Economic Impact Payments

The IRS has begun delivering economic impact payments to eligible people. Find more information by reviewing the press release detailing the payments: https://www.irs.gov/

If you have direct deposit set up with the IRS, you will receive your payment via direct deposit into that account. Most customers who have direct deposit set up through the Internal Revenue Service and are eligible to receive a government stimulus payment under the American Rescue Plan Act of 20​21 can expect to begin receiving the funds beginning Mar​ch 17th, 20​21. Not all customers receive stimulus payments from the U.S. Treasury at the same time. Customers can use Online and Mobile banking to determine if the payment has posted.You may see funds available in your account prior to this date.

STAR processes direct deposits once per business day, so if you don’t see the deposit in your account by 9AM, the next opportunity for it to post would be the following business day.

If you do not have direct deposit set up with the IRS, you will receive a check in the mail. Those checks are expected to be processed beginning March 19th, 2021.

Please note that due to the high volume of activity, connection times may be slowed as payments are received and confirmed. There may also be longer than usual wait times at our video banking machines or when calling Customer Solutions.
