Fort Wayne, Ind. (May 20, 2022) – STAR Financial Group is pleased to name Edmond O’Neal III, Erin Whittle and Doug Wood to the STAR Bank Board of Directors.
O’Neal is President/CEO of Northeast Indiana Works. He started at the organization in 2010 as Chief Operating Officer and was promoted to the role of President in 2017, then President/CEO in 2021. O’Neal has nearly 20 years of experience in education and workforce development. He earned an MBA from Indiana University- Purdue University Fort Wayne, a M.Ed. from Texas Christian University and a B.A. from Stanford University.
O’Neal’s community involvement includes currently serving on boards for The Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne, Erin’s House for Grieving Children, Fort Wayne United, The Questa Foundation, Catie B Charities and the Fort Wayne Mayor’s Opportunity Advisement Council.
Whittle is President & Founder of Whittle Strategic Accounting and has served in that capacity since 2013. She holds more than 20 years of public accounting and nonprofit leadership experience and is a Certified Public Accountant. Whittle earned a B.S. in business with a concentration in accounting and an MBA from Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne. She is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the AICPA and is also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
In the past, she has served on the Board of Directors, Finance Committee and Audit Committee for PBS39, the Board of Directors for Courageous Healing and was a member of the Indiana Chapter of the Jaylon Smith Minority Entrepreneurship Institute.
Wood is Chief Administrative Officer, SVP at Sweetwater and has more than 30 years of experience in banking, finance and accounting. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Ball State University and an MBA from Western Michigan University.
Wood’s community involvement includes currently serving on boards for the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne, Junior Achievement Foundation and the Park Foundation. He also previously served as the Board Chair for both Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne and Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana.
