Meet Our Treasury Bankers

Cook, a well-established banking leader, brings nearly 40 years of financial experience and is both FINRA Series 79 and 63 certified. Most recently, he served as Market Executive/Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase. He has vast banking experience having led numerous commercial teams throughout the years at Chase and at Bank One. Cook attended Indiana University, and he currently serves as an active board member of the Allen County Fort Wayne Improvement Board of Managers, Greater Fort Wayne Inc., the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.

Maureen “Mo” Glunt is Senior Treasury Management Officer at STAR Financial Bank and leads the Treasury Management Sales team. In this role, she oversees the growth of cash management and payment solutions for commercial, municipal, government, and nonprofit clients, with a strong emphasis on deposit growth, operational excellence, and consistent client experience. Mo is known for her ability to align treasury strategies with complex client needs while coordinating closely with internal teams to deliver seamless execution.

Since joining STAR in 2016, Mo has progressed through relationship management and treasury sales roles, building deep expertise in cash flow optimization, payments, onboarding, and service delivery. Under her leadership, the treasury management department has achieved tremendous growth, reflecting her focus on scalable solutions, team development, and disciplined execution. She also contributes to STAR’s strategic direction through participation on key internal committees, including ALCO, IT Steering, Marketing, Rate, Inclusion and Belonging, and Strategic Planning.

Mo’s leadership and professional impact were recognized with her selection as an IBJ Forty Under 40 honoree, Class of 2026. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Indiana University–Bloomington, a background that strengthens her relationship‑driven approach to treasury management. In addition, Mo leads STAR’s WISE: Women in Search of Excellence employee resource group and serves on The Library Foundation board for the Hussey‑Mayfield Memorial Public Library.

Betsy Huffman is a Treasury Management Sales Officer serving STAR’s legacy Central markets. She supports commercial clients, specializing in public funds, by delivering customized cash management strategies that address liquidity needs, payment solutions, and fraud mitigation, helping make everyday banking simpler and more effective.

Betsy began her career at STAR Financial Bank as a personal banker after graduating from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She later became a licensed banker and worked closely with business clients and commercial bankers, experiences that helped shape her transition into Treasury Management. Today, she blends her retail banking foundation with treasury expertise to better understand client needs and deliver practical, client‑focused solutions.

She is actively engaged through volunteer opportunities with organizations such as Second Harvest Food Bank, the United Way Buddy Bag Program, and as a volunteer performance judge for FBLA events.

With more than 32 years of banking experience, Traci Bodhan is a seasoned Treasury Management Sales Officer known for delivering strategic financial solutions and building long‑standing client relationships. She partners with commercial, municipal, and nonprofit clients to optimize cash flow, enhance liquidity, and implement effective treasury management practices.

Traci brings deep expertise in cash management, electronic payments, receivables and payables solutions, fraud mitigation, and digital banking platforms. Her background includes roles in small business and commercial banking, though her passion lies in treasury management, where she provides tailored solutions that improve efficiency and support long‑term growth.

Traci attended Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne and combines her academic foundation with decades of hands‑on experience to deliver thoughtful, results‑driven guidance. She is actively involved in the community and has served on the boards of the Allen County SPCA, Fort Wayne Ballet, Executive Women International, Rotary International, and Brightpoint’s Finance Committee, and is a member of Financial Executives International.

Chris Penar is a Treasury Management Sales Officer who brings a consultative approach to helping clients identify and implement the right banking services and solutions for their businesses. He works closely with clients to integrate treasury solutions into their day‑to‑day operations, supporting efficient accounts receivable and accounts payable management while serving as a key liaison between the client and the bank.

With 17 years at STAR Financial Bank, Chris offers a well‑rounded perspective shaped by experience in branch banking, operations, and commercial banking. This background allows him to engage clients thoughtfully and collaborate effectively with internal partners to deliver seamless, high‑quality service.

Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Montana. He is active in the community, having served as past Board President of Homebound Meals for six years and as a member of the Fort Wayne Construction Trades Board for six years. He also enjoys giving back as a coach with Rangers Soccer Academy in Auburn, Indiana.

Karissa Shaffer, CTP, serves the Greater Indianapolis area as a Treasury Management Sales Officer dedicated to understanding the unique cash management needs of STAR’s business, public funds, and nonprofit clients. She structures strategic banking solutions that enhance accounts payable and receivable processes while strengthening fraud mitigation, helping clients improve efficiency, earnings, and risk control.

Karissa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Regent University and a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IUPUI. She also holds an MBA from Butler University and is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), demonstrating her advanced expertise in treasury management best practices.

She is actively involved in the community, serving on the OHOP Grant Committee for the South Madison County Community Foundation and as a Community Leader on the Development Committee for The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. Karissa is also a 2019 graduate of The Academy for Community Leadership of Muncie/Delaware County.
